Disneyworld (Day 6- Legoland and Seaworld)

We slept in a little after our super late night (E wasn’t in bed until midnight after the fireworks!) and then Elayna was surprised to find that Mickey Mouse and Belle were on the grounds at Give Kids the World… just there to spread some smiles to the kids. She was ecstatic to meet Mickey again and get to dance with him on stage. She still keeps talking about this.

Next we drove out to Legoland so that Elayna could finally meet Emmet and Wyldstyle (the Lego guys from the Lego Movie).
She was SO excited when she met them. It was definitely a highlight for her, and I wasn’t that surprised since that was actually part of what her wish was based on. She had asked to see the castle from the Disney movies, and to meet Emmet.
She waited for them to come out and jumped up and down when she saw them. Then she hugged them both twice and giggled some more. As she was about to walk away, she ran back for more hugs and told Emmet “I think YOU’RE awesome!” (the song from the movie is “Everything is Awesome.”) and he blew her a kiss with his lego claw hands, which she thought was hilarious. She told me the other day that meeting Emmet and Wyldstyle was really special because it’s not every day that you meet real, live Lego people! Ha!

While we were at Legoland we checked out all of the amazing-ness in the tiny world made of Legos. Jake, of course, liked the Star Wars parts, and we had some fun with Darth Vader and R2D2. Then Elayna got to “go to drive school” to earn her license. It was super cute watching her drive around in her Lego car, but she stayed so far out in the town that I never could get her on camera! Haha! So I had to make do with a model car out front.

After Legoland we rushed to Sea World to see the One Ocean show. It was the only thing we actually saw there because their dolphin cove was closed. Elayna thought the parts where the whales splash everyone was the best. She liked that. She also loved the hand movements that the trainers used and I caught her doing them herself a few times.

It was a good day. Lots of beautiful smiles on the face of my little survivor. Then, of course, we went back to Give Kids the World… and partied some more. 🙂
