One of the coolest gifts that Elayna received for Christmas was the Goldie Blox Movie Machine set from her Aunt Larissa. She absolutely adores it, and I feel like it’s challenging and fun for her.
She got to read a book about Goldie and how she wanted to save the Bloxtown film festival… meanwhile E built things little by little with the included pieces, and then at the end she connected all of her smaller inventions together and it made a zoetrope (the earliest movie machines were zoetropes and showed moving pictures on a wheel, making them appear to be in motion). She thinks it’s the coolest thing ever! We have already made more “movies” for it, and she is anticipating doing a “film festival” for some people… the kit even came with tickets! What a fun gift for my sweet girl! I see a lot of fun times ahead with this. 🙂
