Happy 4th of July!!

We had a very relaxed, family-friendly, 4th of July.

First, we spent our morning at our monthly waffle breakfast, hosted by our fabulous friends Gigi and Jason (and KZ, of course). Elayna played with Kaemon Ze, Finn, and a sweet little baby girl named Sophia. As always, there were lots of smiles to be had, and yummy food to eat!

Here E and KZ are playing a game of push and pull with the hanging ladder.
They thought it was quite funny. Don’t they look sweet together?! ๐Ÿ™‚
Dancing in the backyard.

Later in the evening, as the sun was finally beginning to go down, we took Elayna out and showed her what fireworks looked like (in their simplest forms). She didn’t actually say “ooooh” and “ahhh,” but you could tell by her face that was what she was thinking. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here she is seeing fireworks for the first time. She looks intrigued, for sure.
As you can see, we lit a magnificent fountain firework here.
It was fantastic. (Note sarcasm!)
Her first sparkler!
I think she definitely liked the sparklers more. I don’t blame her!
Daddy even showed her how to write her name with them.
She enjoyed her 4th of July and hopes you all did too! ๐Ÿ™‚
