Nothing is more fun than…

… the library! Lol. That’s my girl, right?! 😉

Here are a few shots of Elayna hanging out in the stacks. And yes, these are taken in the same area as some previous ones. It’s her favorite part of the big library downtown, where all the Easy Reader books (for kids in school) are.

I should share that twice in the last week I have had experienced librarians attempt to point us in a different direction for “appropriate” books for her age (read: board books and super short books). I tell them that she loves the books she loves, and they happen to be longer story books. They are amazed that she will “sit through a whole Dr Seuss book.” I have to control my urge to chuckle when I tell them that she will sit through 10 in a row if I indulge her, and then go off and read 10 more on her own (not actually read, but you get the idea). She loves books. One librarian said that E has the longest attention span that she has ever seen on a 2 year old. While I had been having that conversation with her, E was quietly reading book after book, sitting on the floor in the Sesame Street section.

  1. Sometimes I feel I am seeing you grow all over again. Remember when your teacher didn't want you to read 5th grade scholastic readers when you were in 3rd grade? lol
