Update: Elayne Sandeen is now a “full-term” baby‏

Hello everyone!

We hope that this email finds all of you and your families doing well!

I just thought I would update you all again on our progress. It seems that I have been getting quite a few requests for more updated maternity pics, so here you go. These pictures were all taken yesterday and today. =) Oh, and the first picture is of my view of my 37 week belly. This is what it looks like if I lean over to see my feet. Haha!!

I am 37 weeks pregnant today, which means that little miss Elayna Grace Sandeen is now considered to be a full-term baby. In other words, even if she came out now (technically 3 weeks early) she wouldn’t be a “preemie” because she would have fully formed lungs and everything… she would just be on the small side.
At my weekly check ups I am told that baby and I are measuring perfectly and even though I have definitely entered that “uncomfortable” phase of pregnancy, my symptoms/pains/discomforts are “perfectly normal”. I say this with a tad bit of sarcasm, because who would think this could be called “normal”?? I’m sure all you mothers will know what I mean. 😉 At any rate, baby and I are doing really well.

Elayna is pretty close to being ready to meet the world, and Jake and I are super excited to meet her! We have finished the nursery, installed the car seat, put together the various items (swing, stroller, bouncer, etc.), washed all of her tiny stuff, and now all we have to do is wait! Jake has been an amazingly supportive husband (and dad) through this process. He makes sure that I am not over-doing it. I can’t wait to see him with his daughter!!

Thank you all for your continued support. It means the world to us that we have so many wonderful family members and friends who truly care about our little family. We love you all, and we miss those of you who are far away.

Love always,
Lucy & Jake Sandeen (& Elayna too!)
